As an important carrier of traditional Chinese culture, ancient ceramics are highly respected for their profound cultural heritage and artistic value. As a famous historical and cultural city, Wuxi has rich cultural resources and profound historical heritage, which provides a good environment and conditions for the identification of ancient ceramics. Through the testing of ancient ceramics, Wuxi’s cultural heritage can be further excavated and passed on, and new impetus can be injected into folk collections of ancient ceramic art. Yiyi Ancient Ceramics Detection uses modern scientific and technological means and cloud computing of big data of unearthed ancient ceramics to improve the accuracy and scientificity of identification. It can better identify the authenticity of ancient ceramics and reveal their historical value and cultural connotation.
On April 6 this year, an online analysis system for the traceability of ancient ceramics developed by the Science and Technology Archeology Laboratory of the School of Archeology and Museology of Peking University and Beijing Yiju Technology Co., Ltd. passed the review expert review. According to reports, the ancient ceramics portable XRF glaze element large database construction project undertaken by the Science and Technology Archeology Laboratory of the School of Archeology and Museology of Peking University is exploring the use of scientific and technological methods to solve cultural relic archaeological research. At present, the database has begun to take shape, including more than 100 sites from the Tang Dynasty. A large database of ancient ceramic glaze compositions has been collected from well-known kiln sites dating back to the Ming and Qing dynasties, with nearly one million pieces of ceramic main and trace element data.
Huang Xinwei, the person in charge of the Jiangsu Operation Center for Yiyi Ancient Ceramics Traceability Testing, said that the Yiyi Ancient Ceramics Testing can be quickly settled in Meihu Cultural Street, a famous cultural district in Wuxi, which is also in response to the identification demands of the majority of art collectors. This is undoubtedly A major boost to the development of ancient ceramic art collections in Wuxi’s cultural industry. The School of Archeology and Museology of Peking University provides guidance on one-data technology detection and digital software development, and realizes data sharing and authoritative intelligent detection of archaeological cultural relics, thus achieving a leap from digital analysis of cultural relics to intelligent detection. The next step will be to continue to increase investment and strength in research and development, and strive to establish national and industry standards for scientific and technological identification of ancient ceramics, provide technological empowerment for the digital construction of cultural relics, promote the development of cultural museums, and make real cultural relics and artworks "alive."
